Aeon enters Empire Studio this week to record one new promotion song to show the world whats going on. I think they are going to film it and make some kind of studio/music/video while they’re at it. That’ll be cool! Stay tuned for the result. Aeon recorded their latest album Rise To Dominate at Empire Studio and have been touring with Cannibal Corpse. – Horns Up –

Final day at the festival
This is how the “Control Room” looks like in one of the trailers. It’s nice and cozy and as far from ergonimical as you can get. Back pains and head injuries from the low sealing. But it was a hell of a ride full of fun!

Festival Trailer Studio
This would be my weirdest studio session ever so far. I’m working on Storsjöyran Festival in Östersund during the next three day and they’ve made a studio out of two old trailers. One of them is my control room and the other one is for the bands. They get one hour and it’s totally free. In that hour we record a couple of songs and when it’s done they get the CD when they leave. It’s just for fun – and it’s REALLY FUN! Alot of crazy dudes.

The Equinox ov the Gods
.. are recording two songs this weekend and the following weekat Empire Studio. The material is wicked as allways. Rumour says it will contain chainsaws combined with happy sounds from children. For you who don’t know Equinox can expect a modern Devil Doll with Cradle Of Filth mixed on a theme park with evil clowns. Get the picture? The recording will be released with a book of illustrations and will be very limited. During the recording there was a Gibson Guitar Orgy and we just had to take a picture of the beauties.

Souldrainer put a new song online!
The 7 song recording from Souldrainer have been mixed by Ronnie Björnström from Enhanced Audio Productions. It’s amazing how good it turned out. Souldrainer recorded all the songs ‘LIVE’ – meaning one-takes with all the instruments. This shows the quality of the band! The vocals were recorded later in Empire Studio for convinience. Go to Souldrainer at myspace to listen to FED BY FIRE.

Souldrainer making garage demo
Today I took the portable gear to our rehearsal space and recorded seven new Souldrainer songs, live. It all went really good and this is a perfect way to make a demo really fast. The quality was out standing. The news post from souldrainer.com says:
Hello friends! It was a while ago now.. We have been busting our asses with new material and today we recorded seven new butt kicking songs. We have left Mascot Records and now we are searching for a new label that will satisfy our needs. These songs are made as demo versions and will be used in the search for a label. Listening to the results from todays efforts we can only say it’s really awesome how the recording turned out. It’s been worth waiting for! wow! It sounds like we are moving towards a heavier sound (like we weren’t heavy enough before huh?), more aggressive but yet in a Souldrainer-stylish way. Of course we still have the majestic foundation. Add a touch of evil on that and you are getting close to the new sound. Man, it’s impossible to describe the new material with words, you gotta hear it – and you will!Â

Film sound recording
Manic Motion are filming an instructions video for the Swedish Folkhälsoinstitutet and it’s for those who study bartending. My job is to capture the sound and later I will mix the sound on the film. It took place at Plaza Hotels in Östersund and the result will be a DVD. In the cast you can find Mikael Rahm among others.
